Rakul Preet Singh And Jackky Bhagnani Plan For ‘Eco-Friendly' Wedding In Goa

Rakul Preet Singh and Jackky Bhagnani plan to join the tree-planting initiative after exchanging wedding vows.

New Delhi: Actor Rakul Preet Singh and producer Jackky Bhagnani are gearing up for their wedding on February 21 in Goa. Reportedly, the couple have planned for an eco-friendly wedding. Their 'green' preparations include sending out digital invitations instead of paper ones, not having fireworks, and planting trees to reduce the event's carbon imprint.

Rakul Preet Singh and Jackky Bhagnani’s three-day wedding festivities, beginning on February 19, will end with the main ceremony on February 21. Rakul and Jackky are reportedly working closely with carbon footprint specialists to ensure that their wedding aligns with environmentally conscious practices, reflecting their dedication to sustainability.

According to sources cited by ANI, the couple has enlisted the expertise of carbon footprint experts to evaluate the environmental impact of their wedding festivities. This initiative involves digital invites to minimize paper waste and a strict ban on fireworks. The specialists will guide the couple on the number of trees required to offset the carbon footprint, with Rakul and Jackky planning to actively participate in the tree-planting effort post their nuptials.

The couple's wedding invitation card, shared by Pinkvilla, showcases a charming floral theme with vibrant pink and blue hues. The card features a scenic beach backdrop, highlighting the couple's personalised logo. This adorable hashtag that they've come up with for themselves is #ABDONOBHAGNA-NI.

Earlier in an interview with ABPLive, Rakul shared her idea of India in 2047. She said, "I hope that till 2047 we're still not telling people to be aware of environmental issues. If this is the way it continues to 2047, we won't have drinking water. So, I really hope that in 2047, we have reversed the environmental damage and we're living in a pollution-free India. We still have many years to go, I hope that citizen becomes responsible and starts taking care of the planet. There's no point in just living those years if you're living in toxicity."

Ahead of their big day, Rakul Preet Singh and Jackky Bhagnani were spotted at designer Tarun Tahiliani's Mumbai store for their wedding shopping. The couple is expected to don Tahiliani's creations on their wedding day.
