Ajay Devgn's Singham Co-Star Ravindra Berde Passes Away After Battling Throat Cancer
The 78-year-old veteran Marathi actor Ravindra Berde passed away on December 13.
New Delhi: On Wednesday, December 13, the world lost a famous face from Hindi and Marathi film, Ravindra Berde. He was 78. The veteran Marathi actor passed away at his residence in Mumbai after a cardiac arrest. As per ABP report, he was battling throat cancer for years and undergoing treatment at Tata Hospital for a few months. He was discharged two days ago. Ravindra Berde is survived by his spouse, two kids, a daughter-in-law and a grandkid.
The Indian Film & TV Directors' Association also shared the news on its X platform. The message read, "@DirectorsIFTDA mourns the demise of veteran Marathi Actor Ravindra Berde. We pray to the Almighty to bless his noble soul and give courage to his bereaved family to bear the irreplaceable loss.”

Ravindra Berde and his late brother, Laxmikant Berde, were part of many critically acclaimed films.
During his stellar career, Berde has appeared in more than 300 Marathi films. Berde was part of the 2001 film 'Nayak: The Real Hero', which starred Anil Kapoor. He had a small role in 'Singham', directed by Rohit Shetty and starring Ajay Devgn. He played Zamindar Chandrakant in the film. Playing the lead role in the critically acclaimed film 'Pachhadlela' brought him widespread praise.
His popular films included Ashok Saraf, Shodh, Vijay Chavan, Vijoo Khote, Mahesh Kothare and Khilona Bana Khalnayak among others.
Despite his cancer diagnosis in 2011, he kept working. The entertainment world is devastated by his death.
