Netizens React To Poonam Pandey's Death News, Calls It A 'Publicity Stunt'
Poonam Pandey's official Instagram account posted an update announcing the actor-model's death.
New Delhi: Actor and model Poonam Pandey passed away at the age of 32 due to cervical cancer. On Friday, Poonam's official Instagram account posted an update announcing the actor-model's death. The news was confirmed to ANI on Friday by Parul Chawla, her media manager.
A post on Pandey's official Instagram account read, "This morning is a tough one for us. Deeply saddened to inform you that we have lost our beloved Poonam to cervical cancer. Every living form that ever came in contact with her was met with pure love and kindness. In this time of grief, we would request for privacy while we remember her fondly for all that we shared."
Vinit Kakar, who competed alongside Poonam Pandey in the first season of the reality TV series "Lock Upp," hosted by Kangana Ranaut, called the news of the star's passing "100% fake".
As per IANS, while speaking about Pandey's death, Kakar said, "I get the feeling this news is fake. I know Poonam, she is a strong lady. I have spent two weeks with her on the show 'Lock Upp'. I know her personality and character... She is a very strong lady."
"This was three or four months back. We partied together and I never got the feeling that she was suffering from any serious illness. She was looking healthy and was in good spirits," he added.
Many people on X (previously known as Twitter) and Instagram have expressed shock in response to the news of Poonam's sudden death, which has taken over social media. Now, a few internet users are also questioning the accuracy of the report.
I don't know why but I still believe Poonam Pandey is alive and this is a publicity stunt.

If Poonam Pandey’s death is a publicity stunt to raise awareness for World Cancer Day on 4th Feb, they should fire the person who came up with this terrible idea.

The #PoonamPandey , according to me , is likely some mischief , or a PR to create awareness about cervical cancer. https://t.co/marHd0JfVF
