Fashion Designer Rohit Bal On Ventilator Support In Gurugram Hospital
Fashion designer Rohit Bal is on ventilator support in the Intensive Care Unit( ICU) of Gurugram's Medanta Hospital.
New Delhi: Fashion designer Rohit Bal is on ventilator support in the Intensive Care Unit( ICU) of Gurugram's Medanta Hospital. The designer is battling major health concerns. As per an India Today report, Bal has a pre-existing heart condition and had undergone an emergency angioplasty in 2012 after suffering a heart attack.
India Today quoted a source close to the development about Rohit Bal's current condition. Rohit Bal was reportedly admitted to the same hospital in November last year where he was visited by his friend and actor Arjun Rampal.
As per the same India Today report, Bal had been suffering from pancreatitis and was admitted to the hospital earlier this year for treatment.
Rohit Bal was earlier rushed to Moolchand Hospital by his friend, model Suraj Bhalia after he suffered cardiac failure. Bal also had other complications such as pancreatitis, diabetes, and acute kidney failure. When his condition worsened, he was shifted to Medanta Hospital in Gurugram, reported the same publication.
Rohit Bal is known for his iconic fashion couture and dressing several Bollywood celebs on numerous occasions. Originally from Kashmir, Bal is known for his flamboyant designs and is in fact fashion industry's most well-known figures.
Rohit Bal, a graduate from St Stephen's college, Rohit learnt fashion designing from NIFT, Delhit and has worked with clientele including the likes of Pamela Andreson, Uma Thurman, Cindy Crawford, and Naomi Campbell.
As per several reports, Bal, 62, was struggling with alcohol addiction and has been in and out of rehab. In November last year, Bal's condition took a toll on his overall health and he had to be admitted immediately to Medanta Hospital.
Hailing from Kashmir, Rohit Bal is known for his flamboyant couture. His international clientelle list includes the likes of Naomi Campbell, Uma Thruman and more. In Bollywood too, many celebs proudly wear Rohit Bal's collection on the red carpet.
