Elvish Yadav Arrested By Noida Police In Snake Venom Case, Sent To 14-Day Judicial Custody

Popular YouTuber and 'Bigg Boss OTT 2' winner Elvish Yadav has been arrested.

New Delhi: Popular YouTuber and 'Bigg Boss OTT 2' winner Elvish Yadav has been arrested. Noida Police arrested the influencer on Sunday, news agency ANI reported. Elvish has been sent to 14 days of judicial custody in connection with the snake venom case, under the Wild Life Protection Act 1972.

According to news agency ANI, Elvish Yadav was taken into custody by the Noida Police on Sunday in relation to the snake poison case and will now appear in court.

The Noida Police questioned YouTuber and Bigg Boss OTT2 winner Elvish on claims that he used snake venom during rave parties. A short interrogation followed by his arrest. In a sting operation by Maneka Gandhi's People for Animals in Noida's Sector 51, six people—including YouTuber Elvish Yadav—were accused of supplying snake venom for a party. They were charged under the Wildlife (Protection) Act and Section 120A of the Indian Penal Code (criminal conspiracy).

According to a forensic study, samples taken from the party contained snake venom, specifically from the cobra and krait species.

Snake Venom Case from 2023

In an effort to expose the mistreatment of rare species, People for Animals carried out a sting operation and contacted Elvish Yadav after receiving information about his network of accomplices. The complaint claims that Elvish assisted them by connecting them with those who ultimately set up snake venom.

After being questioned about the case multiple times, Elvish Yadav denied all of the accusations.

People For Animals conducted a sting operation where nine snakes were discovered during a rave party last year; all of the snakes had had their venom glands removed. Out of the nine snakes, eight lacked teeth.

The rave party incident dates back to November 3, 2018, and it took place in a banquet hall located in Noida Sector 51. Elvish wasn't present at the celebration.

Elvish had recently found himself in yet another controversy after Elvish thrashed Maxtern, aka Sagar Thakur.Elvish gave an explanation for it in a statement after a FIR was filed against him in Gurugram.
