New Delhi: Elvish Yadav, the winner of Bigg Boss OTT, has reportedly confessed to authorities that he arranged snakes and snake venom at rave parties he organised.
According to NDTV report, Yadav, who was arrested in connection with the snake venom case, also admitted during interrogation that he was acquainted with the other individuals arrested for supplying snake venom last year.
As per the report, the 26-year-old YouTuber, who initially denied any involvement in the snake venom controversy, revealed that he had encountered the accused at various rave gatherings and maintained communication with them.
He was remanded in judicial custody for 14 days following his arrest on Sunday.
He was one of six individuals named in an FIR filed at Noida's Sector 49 police station on November 3 last year. The five other suspects, identified as snake charmers, were detained in November but are presently released on bail.
According to PTI, “The case was lodged under provisions of the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972, Indian Penal Code sections 120B (party to criminal conspiracy), 284 (negligent conduct related to poison that endangers human safety) and 289 (negligent conduct with respect to animals).”

Snake venom case
On November 3, authorities had arrested five individuals from a banquet hall located in Sector 51, where they rescued nine snakes, including five cobras, from their possession. Additionally, 20 ml of suspected snake venom was confiscated.
Law enforcement had previously stated that Yadav was not present at the party venue, but they were investigating his potential involvement in the case of using snake venom as a recreational drug.
PFA chairperson and BJP leader Maneka Gandhi accused Elvish of illegally selling snake venom and urged for his immediate arrest.
On November 4, while Yadav was traveling with friends in a car in Rajasthan's Kota, police briefly detained him for questioning before releasing him shortly after.
