'Crowds Scream Their Guts Out At Every Dialogue': Anupam Kher Praises Sunny Deol's Gadar 2
Anupam Kher tweeted his experience after watching Sunny Deol's critically acclaimed film 'Gadar 2'.
New Delhi: Anupam Kher is the latest celebrity to see and appreciate Sunny Deol's 'Gadar 2,' which has been generating buzz at the box office with nothing more than positive word of mouth. The actor saw the blockbuster film at Mumbai's Gaiety Galaxy and then took to Twitter to express his appreciation for the film's crew in detail. The action drama 'Gadar 2' is the sequel to the 2001 film 'Gadar: Ek Prem Katha' by director Anil Sharma.
Anupam Kher posted a picture of the theatre and a poster of ‘Gadar 2’. He appreciated the film and wrote, "Just watched #Gadar2 in Gaiety/Galaxy theatre in Bandra. Last time I went to this single-screen theatre was for the premiere of my movie #Hum. #Gadar2 is a tsunami of emotions felt not only by the actors on screen but also by the audiences in the theatre. It takes you on a roller coaster ride of what it means to be a proud Indian. In fact, it celebrates the multi-culture/multi-religion facet of our country."
Anupam Kher saw the audience's response to 'Gadar 2' in a single-screen theatre in Mumbai. He wrote, "It is cathartic. Crowds scream their guts out at every dialogue. @iamsunnydeol is not an actor anymore. He is cult in himself. He is on fire. And you feel the heat in your soul."
Anupam praised filmmaker Anil Sharma, saying, "@iutkarsharma is fantastic with great promise. @manishwadhwa as Pak general is superb. Thank you @Anilsharma_dir for taking me on this raw joyride in a cinema hall. Jai Ho!"
Released on the same day as ‘OMG 2,’ starring Akshay Kumar, ‘Gadar 2’ is giving good competition at the box office.
The original film, ‘Gadar: Ek Prem Katha,’ released in 2001, has 1947's Partition of India as its background. In 'Gadar 2,' Tara Singh, played by Sunny Deol, crosses Pakistan in an audacious effort to free his kidnapped son. Taking place in Lahore in 1971, 'Gadar 2' successfully delivers gripping action scenes and unrelenting rage between India and Pakistan.
