Amid ongoing debates on nepotism in Bollywood, actor Junaid Khan, Aamir Khan's son, acknowledged the privileges that come with his lineage. His ‘Loveyapa’ co-star Khushi Kapoor, daughter of producer Boney Kapoor and the late Sridevi, shared a similar perspective.

Aamir Khan's son talks about his privileges

In an interview with Radio Nasha, ‘Loveyapa’ stars Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor discussed their upcoming film. During the conversation, Junaid shared his thoughts on the growing importance of social media presence for actors in today’s industry.

“Nobody has said anything negative to me, actually. I’m not on social media, so I have no idea. Producers will cast me even without seeing any public presence. Not many actors have that. It’s purely because of the family I come from," Junaid said.

In the same interview, Khushi Kapoor acknowledged their industry privilege, stating that actors like them should be grateful for the opportunities they receive. “We have a lot to be thankful for, so I don’t really want to be in a position to complain about anything. I am happy where I am,” she said.

About Junaid Khan

Junaid has previously gained industry experience by working as an assistant on several of his father Aamir Khan's productions. He made his film debut last year with Siddharth P Malhotra's ‘Maharaj’, co-starring Jaideep Ahlawat, which premiered on Netflix. Similarly, Khushi Kapoor debuted with Zoya Akhtar's ‘The Archies’, also a Netflix release. However, ‘Loveyapa’ marks the first theatrical release for both actors. The film is backed by Phantom Studios and AGS Entertainment, is set to release in theatres on February 7.
