Brad Pitt Attends Buddhist Ritual While Promoting 'Bullet Train'

The event was held in the Koyasan Tokyo Betsuin temple in Tokyo, and Pitt was a guest there.

New Delhi: Brad Pitt's latest film, Bullet Train, was just released on August 5, and the actor is now keeping busy promoting the picture. Recently, he travelled to Tokyo, Japan in order to participate in a press event for the movie. While there, he attended a Buddhist ceremony. Additionally present at the occasion were his co-star Arson Taylor Johnson, the director David Leitch, and the producer Kelly McCormick.

On social media, people have been sharing pictures and videos that they took during the Buddhist Ritual in Tokyo. In the images that have gone viral, Pitt can be seen dressed casually in a brown jacket and loose jeans. 

The event was held in the Koyasan Tokyo Betsuin temple in Tokyo, and Pitt was a guest there. He stated he's praying for the film's success and that he anticipates it will perform well in Japan. The release date in Japan for this movie is set for September 1, 2022.

Brad Pitt spoke about the beauty of the Buddhist ceremony he attended. “The temple is beautiful, and the monks themselves are beautiful,” he said.

Brad Pitt went on to say, "I almost got teary. I was moved by it.” He added his gratitude by saying, “Every time I come here it is so warm and loving, and I just have this sense of freedom.”

The film, directed by David Leitch, is an adaptation of Kōtarō Isaka's book Maria Beetle (2010). In David Leitch's action film Bullet Train, Brad Pitt plays Ladybug, a reformed assassin who finds himself on a wild trip on a bullet train from Tokyo to Kyoto. Throughout his endeavour, he has to come across rival assassins who are out to kill him for their own objectives.

Joey King, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Brian Tyree Henry, Andrew Koji, Hiroyuki Sanada, Michael Shannon, Benito A. Martnez Ocasio, and Sandra Bullock are also in the movie.
