BMC To Conduct Covid-19 Tests At Kareena Kapoor Khan's Building Today

The RTPCR test for COVID-19 testing will be done at both Kareena and Amrita's residence by the BMC (Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation).

New Delhi: Bollywood actor Kareena Kapoor Khan tested positive for Covid-19 on December 13. The actor had recently partied with friends, flouting Covid norms, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) said Monday. The civic body will conduct the RT-PCR tests at the actor's residence on Tuesday.

Actor Amrita Arora, known to be Kareena's best friend, has tested positive for the virus. They had attended a house party last week hosted by actor Sonam Kapoor's younger sister, designer Rhea Kapoor. 

According to an ANI tweet, the BMC will conduct RT PCR tests at the residences of both Kareena and Amrita. While Kareena's residence will have the tests on Tuesday, the BMC hasn't mentioned anything about when the tests will be conducted at Amrita's residence.

The ANI tweet read: "Brihanmumbai's Municipal Corporation's health department to conduct COVID-19 testing at the apartment building of actor Kareena Kapoor Khan today. Khan who has tested positive for COVID-19 has been advised home quarantine."

As reported earlier, Kareena Kapoor Khan's residence has already been sealed by the BMC and officials are trying to find out the number of people who came in contact with the actress.

Kareena took to Instagram to share her health update. The 'Laal Singh Chaddha' actor said that she had isolated herself after contracting the virus, and requested everyone who had come in close contact with her to get themselves tested.

She also mentioned that her family and staff are all double vaccinated, and that they were currently not showing any symptoms. Talking about herself, Kareena said that she was feeling okay and hopes to be up and about soon.

After Kareena and Amrita, actor Sanjay Kapoor's wife Maheep Kapoor and Sohail Khan's wife Seema Khan have also tested positive for coronavirus. ABP contacted actor Sanjay Kapoor to know about his wife's health. Confirming that Maheep tested positive for Covid-19, the actor said: "She has minor symptoms. Maheep has isolated herself and is following all protocols."
