Bharti Singh States She ‘Doesn't Feel Guilty’ About Leaving Her Son At Home When She Goes To Work

Bharti Singh has shown a healthy balance between her professional and personal life. She returned to work barely 12 days after giving birth to her son Laksh.

New Delhi: This year, Bharti Singh became a mother for the first time, to a newborn boy. The comedian was working till the very end of her pregnancy, inspiring other moms. The comedian returned to work barely 12 days after giving birth to her son Laksh. Bharti has shown adept at striking a healthy balance between her professional and personal life. However, several online trollers voiced their disapproval of the comedian for going back to work so soon after giving birth.

In an interview with ETimes, Bharti Singh replied to the trolls. She stated: “My baby is not home alone. My family, two helpers, Harsh’s family, my niece are all around to support me and I also have a camera installed at home to check on him. Currently, he is in safe hands so I don’t worry or feel guilty about leaving him at home. I am very passionate about my work and I also feel that if I had not worked or earned money, we could not have afforded such facilities at home. And this time I am hosting a show alone, so Harsh will be around to check on him.”

She went on to discuss mothers' ability to multitask and how it comes into play after the birth of a kid. Bharti said, “Sometimes, everything is happening at the same time while you are looking after your baby – the doorbell is ringing, the phone is ringing, we are planning what to cook for lunch and dinner and the baby also needs attention. I feel that’s why a mother is compared with Goddess Durga, who gets the strength and power to do everything efficiently.”

Bharti Singh and Haarsh Limbachiyaa married in 2017. On April 3, this year, the couple welcomed their son into the world.

On the work front, Bharti is set to host the children's talent competition Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Little Champs, airing on Zee TV. The premiere date is set for September.
