Arjun Rampal Tells NCB That He Is Not The 'Arjun' They Are Looking For

The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) raided Bollywood actor Arjun Rampal’s house while investigating the drug nexus in Bollywood which emerged while probing the death case of Sushant Singh Rajput.

Arjun Rampal was recently questioned by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) for the second time in connection with a raid at his residence where they found banned tablets. The raid was conducted in November, post which he was interrogated. The actor had also submitted a prescription for the banned tablets.

Reportedly, the drug agency found Arjun Rampal's brother-in-law Agisilaos Demetriades talking to someone by the name Arjun on WhatsApp and assumed it's the actor. During his investigation, Rampal told the agency that one of the tablets is for his dog, prescribed by a vet and the second is used as an SOS for anxiety by his sister, as prescribed by a Delhi-based psychiatrist.

According to the exclusive information received by ABP News, Rampal also said that the person 'Arjun' found in Demetriades' Whatsapp chats is not him. Reportedly the NCB conducted a raid after they found the WhatsApp chats.

The NCB had seized two different tablets from Arjun's residence- one was Ultracet (a prescription medicine used to treat moderate to severe pain, containing tramadol and acetaminophen). The second tablet was Clonazepam which is used to treat seizure disorders and panic attacks. Both the tablets are banned under the NDPS Act, unless there is a valid prescription.

After this, the NCB started investigating those prescriptions and recorded the statement of the Veterinary Doctor in Bandra. The doctor told the agency that he had given this medicine to Arjun Rampal's dog in June. There is a lot of pain in his dog's joints and when he starts shouting loudly out of pain, he needs this medicine very much.

If sources are to be believed, NCB did not find anything suspicious there as they suspected after reading the chats between Agisialos and someone named Arjun. After raiding Arjun Rampal's house, NCB questioned his girlfriend Gabriella on November 11 and 12. On November 13, the NCB had made a lot of preparations that they would inquire about every chat that took place between him and Agisialos. That day, as soon as Arjun Rampal reached the NCB office, the investigating officers of the NCB showed him a copy of those chats and before he asked some questions to the 'Rajneeti' actor, Arjun said that this is not him and he daily as they do not even talk so much. After which NCB checked that number and found that Arjun Rampal was right.

The NCB has not yet questioned the actor's sister.
