Anushka Sharma & Virat Kohli Donate 2 Crores Amid COVID-19 Second Wave; Starts Fundraiser
Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli have come forward to help the COVID-19 victims. The celebrity couple has donated Rs 2 crore on their behalf in this fight against corona.
Mumbai: Amid the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic, people from all walks of life including Bollywood celebrities have been extending their helping hands in this hour of need. Sonu Sood, Akshay Kumar, Sushmita Sen are amongst the many celebrities who have come forward to help people in this COVID-19 pandemic.
Now, Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli have come forward to help the COVID-19 victims. The celebrity couple has donated Rs 2 crore on their behalf in this fight against corona. Virushka is also taking the initiative to launch a fundraiser called #InThisTogether through a platform called Ketto. Under this fundraiser, Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma are currently aiming to collect Rs 7 crore to fight the COVID-19 pandemic in India.
Anushka Sharma shared a video on her social media requesting people to donate for the noble cause. While sharing the video the ‘NH10’ actress wrote, “As our country battles the second wave of Covid-19, and our healthcare systems are facing extreme challenges, it breaks my heart to see our people suffering. So, Virat and I have initiated a campaign #InThisTogether, with Ketto, to raise funds for Covid-19 relief.”
Meanwhile, Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli embraced parenthood for the first time earlier this year. The couple welcomed a baby girl whom they named Vamika.
Speaking on the work front, Anushka Sharma was last seen on-screen in the 2018 movie ‘Zero’ alongside Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif. Though the ‘Phillauri’ actress has been away from the screens for quite a long time, she has been producing super hit web series and movies under her production house ‘Clean Slate Films’ which includes ‘Paatal Lok, ‘Bulbbul’ and others.
