Aamir Khan And Ranbir Kapoor To Team Up For Anurag Basu Directorial: Reports

New Delhi: There is good news for all movie buffs! Aamir Khan and Ranbir Kapoor will soon be teaming up for a film that will reportedly be directed by Anurag Basu.

According to a report by Pinkvilla, the film will be on a visual effect heavy subject and will be produced by Aamir Khan Productions. Anurag Basu is trying to develop a screenplay for Aamir and Ranbir.

“Anurag Basu is trying to develop a screenplay for Aamir Khan and Ranbir Kapoor. While the basic idea has been conceptualized by AKP aka. Aamir Khan Production, its Basu, who has come on board to weave a screenplay with the inhouse team of actors. The movie is in a very nascent stage at the moment, in-fact, the duo of AK and RK will decide on doing it only once they are absolutely satisfied with the final output,” Pinkvilla quoted a source.

Right now the film is in a very nascent stage and both the actors have just agreed on the idea of working together on a big project. The film is reportedly high on VFX and Aamir Khan wants to have a visual blueprint of what the film would look like.  If things go as planned, the film will take off next year.

While Anurag Basu and Ranbir Kapoor have worked together in 'Barfi!' and 'Jagga Jasoos', Anurag will be directing Aamir for the first time. Ranbir and Aamir were seen together in 'PK' where the former was seen in a cameo.

Meanwhile, Aamir is awaiting the release of his upcoming film, Laal Singh Chaddha co-starring Kareena Kapoor Khan in the lead role. The film will hit the theatres on August 11, 2022.
