UP Election Phase 5 Assembly Constituencies: In the fifth phase, 61 assembly constituencies from 12 districts are witnessing elections. Polling is being held in Uttar Pradesh in 7 phases.

UP Election Phase 5 Assembly Constituencies:  Voting for the fifth phase of the elections in Uttar Pradesh (UP) is underway. 61 assembly constituencies from twelve districts are witnessing polls today.

Elections in the fifth phase happening across 60 assembly seats of 11 districts of Amethi, Ayodhya, Bahraich, Barabanki, Chitrakoot, Gonda, Kaushambi, Pratapgarh, Prayagraj, Shrawasti, Sultanpur, and one assembly seat of Rae Bareli district.

According to Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR), Samajwadi Party (SP) has 42 candidates with criminal records out of a total number of 59. Of the 52 candidates fielded by BJP, 25 have criminal records. BSP and Congress have fielded 23 candidates each with criminal records against their name. Ten of the 52 candidates fielded by AAP in this phase of UP elections also have a criminal history.

Due to this, 39 out of 61 constituencies have been declared as red alert constituencies in the fifth phase.
