Rajasthan Polls: PM Modi Rakes Up Paper Leak Case, Says Congress 'Sold Every Exam'

Rajasthan Polls: Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the Congress had destroyed the dreams of many students by "selling" question papers of every exam.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday levelled a massive allegation against the Congress, accusing it of "selling" exam papers. Speaking at an election rally in Rajasthan's Kota, PM Modi said that it was a city of dreams where youngsters came to study for their futures. However, he said, the Congress had crushed their dreams.

"In the last five years, Congress has repeatedly broken the dreams of the youths of Rajasthan. There is not a single exam or paper that Congress has not sold," says PM Modi at a public rally in Kota.

He then went on to highlight how India had progressed by leaps and bounds under the BJP government in terms of digital connectivity. "Imagine the condition today, if the price of 1 GB data would be Rs 300? If the speed would be 10 times slower than today? If the cost of mobile phones would be 10 times the current price? The digital revolution under the BJP govt has given new opportunities for the youth in the country. Today, there are 200 mobile phone manufacturing factories in India. Before I came, there were only 2 mobile phone manufacturing factories," he said.

He also alleged that the now-banned Popular Front of India (PFI) would conduct rallies under the protection of the Rajasthan Police. "PFI rally is being carried out in full police protection; the longer such a Congress government remains in power, the more damage it will inflict on Rajasthan," PM Modi said.

Later, at another rally in Karauli, PM Modi said, "I assure Rajasthan that the BJP govt will take strict action against those involved in atrocities on women....Congress's 'jadugar' from Rajasthan and 'bazigaar' from Delhi are experts in telling lies..."

Earlier in Rajasthan's Baran district on Tuesday, PM Modi said that the Congress embodies corruption, nepotism, and appeasement — three hindrances preventing India's development into a fully-fledged nation. Modi contended that the mismanagement of Congress leaders has resulted in the suffering of the people in Rajasthan, as the ruling party has seemingly surrendered them to the clutches of robbers, rioters, and criminals.

According to news agency PTI, as long as the nation contends with the triad of corruption, nepotism, and appeasement, the resolution to elevate India to a developed status will encounter challenges, Modi told the audience. He singled out the Congress as the foremost symbol of these detrimental forces, emphasizing the disorderly conduct of Congress MLAs and ministers, attributing public suffering to their actions. According to Modi, the Congress has essentially handed over the people of Rajasthan to a spectrum of malevolent elements, including robbers, rioters, tyrants, and criminals.

Highlighting a shift in public sentiment, Modi remarked that even children in Rajasthan are expressing a lack of support for Gehlot ji, a notable Congress figure. The Prime Minister also slammed the Congress over the law and order situation in Rajasthan, claiming that its ministers have been observed aligning with those responsible for atrocities against women, reported PTI.

Modi emphasized the BJP's commitment to prioritize the welfare and safety of women, contrasting this with what he perceived as Congress support bolstering the morale of anti-social elements in Rajasthan. In his address, the Prime Minister sought to position the BJP as the party dedicated to countering these issues and ensuring the well-being of the people.

The elections to the 200-member Rajasthan Assembly will be held on November 25.
