Maharashtra Election Results 2024: Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis held a press conference after the vote counting outcomes hinted at a landslide victory for the ruling Mahayuti, which comprises of the BJP, Shiv Sena, and the NCP. During the presser, Fadnavis clarified that there is no dispute regarding the next Chief Minister's face as it was decided by the alliance that the leaders of the three parties will sit and take a unanimous decision on it.

"There will be no dispute on the CM's face. It was decided from day one that after the elections, the leaders of the three parties will sit together and decide on this. The decision will be acceptable to everyone, there is no dispute on this," he said.

As of now, the Mahayuti is standing at a lead with 230 seats, while the MVA stands at 53 seats.

He further said that the victory of the Mahayuti suggests that the people of Maharashtra stand with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said that the PM's slogan 'Ek Hai Toh Safe Hai' led the people in Maharashtra to vote in unity.

"The unprecedented victory that people of Maharashtra have given us establishes the fact that Maharashtra is with PM Modi. Realising the PM's slogan of 'Ek Hain Toh Safe Hain', people from all walks of life in Maharashtra have voted in unity and because of that, we have got this victory. I thank our Ladli sisters, Ladle brothers, Ladle farmers and everyone. Moreover, the fake narrative created in Lok Sabha polls and the powers which were spreading that fake narrative here, all the national forces defeated that fake narrative."
