This is the second death of a BJP worker in a road accident in less than two weeks in the state. On April 8, a BJP worker died after his two-wheeler rammed into the door of a car, which was kept open, in KR Puram of Bengaluru.
The car was owned by Union Minister and BJP leader Shobha Karandlaje, who was campaigning in the area. A BJP worker named Prakash was fatally injured when he fell onto the road after the collision with a car and was subsequently struck by a bus. However, Shobha Karandlaje, BJP candidate for Bengaluru North Lok Sabha seat, was not present in the car at the time of mishap.
