Here is PM Narendra Modi’s advice for MP's elected for the first time
After being elected as the leader of NDA alliance, Modi will now call on President Ram Nath Kovind to stake his claim to form the government, following which he will be sworn in as the next prime minister, likely next week.

NEW DELHI: After Prime Minister Narendra Modi was unanimously elected leader of the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance on Saturday at a meeting attended by its newly elected MPs and senior leaders in Parliament's Central Hall, he offered his advice to the newly elected MP’s present there.
In the presence of senior BJP leaders L K Advani and Murli Manohar Joshi and other alliance leaders, PM Modi said “We are here for those who trusted us today. We are here for those too whose trust we are yet to win.”
Here is PM Narendra Modi’s advice for the MP’s:
- Leaders should maintain restraint in speaking to the media. Modi says some statements made for publicity often trouble us.
- Don't trust media reports on names being considered for ministerial berths, responsibilities will be given as per norms.
- MPs should shun VIP culture. Modi says they should stand in queues wherever required, like other citizens.
