Goa: AAP leader alleges faulty EVMs; ‘Tally shows 17 votes for BJP when 9 votes given during mock polling’
The same was also slammed by AAP Chief Arvind Kejriwal. “Faulty” EVM in Goa also transfers others votes to BJP. Are these really faulty or programmed in this fashion?
New Delhi: As the polling for the Lok Sabha elections in Goa, which is taking place in one phase is underway, a very serious allegation has been levied by Aam Aadmi Party on the manner the polls are being conducted.
As per Aam Aadmi Party Goa convenor Elvis Gomes, a mock poll was conducted in booth number 31 in 34 AC in Goa, where 9 votes each were given to 6 candidates from different parties, and in the total count BJP got 17 seats, Congress got 9 seats, AAP got 8 seats and IND got one seat.
“Election of shame? Mock poll with 9 votes for each of 6 candidates in booth no 31 in 34 AC in Goa. Total count BJP gets 17, Cong 9 , Aap 8. Ind 1 . Robbery” Elvis Gomes said.
The same was also slammed by AAP Chief Arvind Kejriwal. “Faulty” EVM in Goa also transfers others votes to BJP. Are these really faulty or programmed in this fashion?
When the matter was escalated, Chief Electoral Officer of Goa assured an action on the same and said they are examining the matter and will soon update on the same.
Similar allegations were levied by SP Chief Akhilesh Yadav who alleged that “EVMs across India malfunctioning or voting for the BJP. DMs say poll officials untrained to operate EVMs. 350+ being replaced. This is criminal negligence for a polling exercise that costs 50,000 crs.”“Faulty” EVM in Goa also transfers others votes to BJP.
