Assembly Elections 2022: How To Check Your Name In Electoral Roll And Download Voting Slip Online

Assembly Elections 2022: As the first phase polling of much-crucial Assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh will be held on Thursday, voters can check their names in the electoral rolls and download their voter slips online in order to exercise their franchise.

The Election Commission of India (ECI) has now made the process to download voter slips online very easier. A voter slip is a document that has all your information including name, polling booth and location.

The voter slip can be easily downloaded from Election Commission's website.

Step-By-Step Procedure To Download Voter Slip Online

Step 1: Visit the National Voters’ Service Portal (NVSP) website https://www.nvsp.in

Step 2: Click on the 'Search' in Electoral Roll tab

Step 3: You will be directed to a new page, where you can check your name in the voter list in two ways explained below

Option 1

In the first option, voters can enter their names, date of birth, father's or husband's name and type the captcha code to search for their names in the electoral roll. After entering all this information, voters will have to put their state, district, and assembly constituency.

Option 2

Voter slips can also be downloaded using other option that involves Electors Photo Identity Card (EPIC) number. 

The EPIC number is available on the voter ID card. Enter the EPIC number, select the state and enter the captcha code and click on the 'Search' option to fetch the user details.

How To Check Name Of Voter Slip Via SMS

Step 1: Type EPIC in the mobile message section.

Step 2: Enter your voter ID card number.

Step 3: Send this SMS to 9211728082 or 1950.

Step 4: Your polling station number and name will be displayed on your phone screen.
