University Of Bath Invites Applications For MSc Applied Psychology And Economic Behaviour

The University of Bath has opened its applications for MSc Applied Psychology and Economic Behaviour for the academic year 2024-25. This course welcomes students from an economic or psychology background or areas where analyzing human behavior is a key component. It is ideal for those who are keen to enhance their understanding of human decision-making, and how to predict it. With an interdisciplinary perspective built into the core of the course, students will develop advanced critical reflection, data analysis, and research skills - as well as sought-after professional skills - delivered by research-active staff.

Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates should typically have a Bachelor's degree with a final overall result of at least First Class in psychology or economics, an appropriate social science or business-related subject, or a subject with a significant economics or modeling component. Due to the number of different grading scales in use, candidates should upload a copy of the grading scale used by their institution, along with their transcript, when they submit their application. They must demonstrate basic quantitative skills, acquired through modules such as microeconomics, mathematics, or statistics.
It may be possible to consider applications with a lower grade where there is evidence of suitability for the degree. Applicants must also submit a personal statement with details about their relevant academic qualifications, why they want to pursue the course, and outlining their future aspirations.
The English language requirements are a minimum of either a 6.5 IELTS score with no less than 6.0 in all components, a Pearson Test of English Academic score of 62 with no less than 59 in any element, or a TOEFL IBT score of 90 overall with a minimum of 21 in all 4 components. Students that graduated within the last 5 years from an Indian university where the medium of instruction is English, and with at least 75% for English in their Indian 12th Standard examinations, may be able to submit evidence of this instead. Equipped with the skills for various roles, previous graduates have secured senior roles such as a Senior Research Executive or Head of Behavioural Innovation, working for companies like Kantar Public. Graduates are also prepared for studies at a doctoral level.

Fees Structure:
Bringing together expertise from the Department of Psychology and the Department of Economics, the fees for this course are £28,300 for Indian students starting in September 2024. Students pay a £1,000 deposit after receiving their offer, this will be deducted from tuition fees after registration.
