The overflowing Yamuna River in Delhi has reached the entrance of the Supreme Court in Central Delhi, as reported on Friday. The water level has also come close to Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's house, being just a few hundred meters away. The Yamuna's water levels had reached a record high three days ago, but as of 11 am on Friday, it had receded to 208.35 meters. Despite the decrease in water levels, several important areas in Delhi remain flooded, as reported by PTI.

The water level began to rise again on Thursday after remaining stable for three hours, reaching 208.66 meters by 7 pm, which is three meters above the danger mark of 205.33 meters. According to data from the Central Water Commission (CWC), the water level was recorded as 208.57 meters on Friday, slightly decreasing to 208.48 meters at 5 am.

Throughout the morning, the water level continued to decrease, with measurements of 208.42 meters at 8 am, 208.38 meters at 10 am, and 208.35 meters at 11 am.

On Wednesday, the Yamuna River in Delhi had swelled to 207.71 meters, surpassing its previous all-time record of 207.49 meters set in 1978. The waterlogging on ITO road, a crucial route connecting east Delhi to Lutyens' Delhi, resulted in traffic diversions and difficulties for commuters.
