25-Year-Old Stabbed In Delhi By Girlfriend's Family Who Opposed Relationship

During an investigation into the murder of a 25-year-old man, the Delhi Police found that his girlfriend's family members had stabbed him as they were against the duo's relationship.

An investigation into the murder of a 25-year-old man from Delhi has revealed that he was stabbed allegedly by his girlfriend's father and brothers as they were not happy with their relationship. Delhi DCP, North-East region, while talking to news agency ANI said that the man wanted to marry but the girl's family was against the marriage. He added that the man was trying to pursue the relationship despite the girl's family opposing it.

ANI quoted the DCP as saying, "During the investigation, it was known that the victim was friends with a girl. The girl's family was against this friendship. They wanted to marry but the girl's family was against the marriage. The boy was trying to pursue the relationship. The girl's family tried to reason out with the victim...The girl's father and brothers stabbed the victim. We've arrested the father and one of his sons. The search for the other is underway."

The victim, identified as Salman, was stabbed by his girlfriend's father, Manzoor, and her brothers — Mohsin and a minor — in Delhi on Monday. The incident occurred near Kalyan Cinema, Chauhan Banger, Jaffrabad. According to the police, a case of murder has been registered. Manzoor and his sons are absconding. Efforts are being made to trace them. An investigation is underway in the case.
