Visuals from the site show a dilapidated building with a major portion of the brick-walled terrace missing.

A child was killed when the terrace of his Delhi home collapsed on Sunday evening. The building was old, and a section of the terrace, approximately 50 square yards, suddenly gave way while the six-year-old was playing on it, NDTV reported. Visuals from the site show a dilapidated building with a major portion of the brick-walled terrace missing.

The police have registered a case against the building owner, Ramji Lal, following a complaint from the boy's father, Santosh, the NDTV report said.

Lal, who lives on the ground floor of the same building, has been missing since the incident.

Santosh, a labourer at a factory, and his family have been tenants at the building in Pratap Nagar for the past six months.
