Monsoon has fully set in across Uttar Pradesh, bringing incessant rainfall over the past few days. Most regions remain under dense cloud cover, with heavy showers reported on Wednesday in cities like Jhansi and Prayagraj. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the wet spell will continue on Thursday as well.

Heavy Rain Forecast In Eastern UP, Isolated Showers in the West

The IMD has forecast rainfall in most parts of eastern Uttar Pradesh on Thursday, with isolated spells expected in parts of western UP. Thunderstorms accompanied by lightning are likely in several eastern districts, and isolated areas may experience heavy rainfall. However, no weather warning has been issued so far.

Between July 4 and 6, most regions of western UP are expected to see intense rainfall.

Rain To Continue Through July 8

Rainfall has significantly cooled down the state, providing relief from the intense summer heat. However, the intense rain has caused floods and watterlogging in many areas, which is becoming a major inconvenience for people. No major changes in maximum and minimum temperatures are expected over the next five days. The cool weather is likely to persist through July 8.

There is no warning for Thursday in Western UP. However, the latest weather bulletin from the IMD for all of UP from July 4 till July 8 read: "Thunderstorm accompanied by lightning is very likely at isolated places. Heavy Rain is very likely at isolated places."
