UP Man Arrested For Posting Pro-Pakistan Slogans On Social Media
Bareilly Police have arrested Imran for posting "Pakistan Zindabad" on social media. Authorities are investigating and taking legal action.

The Bareilly Police have arrested a man for allegedly posting a pro-Pakistan slogan on his social media account, the officials said on Friday, as reported by news agency PTI.
The accused, who has been identified as Imran, posted the slogan "Pakistan Zindabad" on his Instagram account. As per the details furnished by the police, the 25-year-old accused is a resident of the Nawabganj area. The post offended the social media users, and a formal complaint was registered.
A report from Republic World stated that a senior police official confirmed the incident and said that the police have arrested the man. The cop added that further legal action is being initiated.
Inspector Raj Kumar Sharma said, "The police had received information that Imran had made a post with the slogan 'Pakistan Zindabad' on his Instagram account, allegedly hurting the sentiments of the users." Following an investigation, Imran was arrested, the police officer said.
Earlier, in August 2024, Delhi Police detained a man in Rohini after they received a complaint that a person had written slogans in support of Pakistan on a wall of this room, as reported by The Times of India. The police said that they got infromation from people that a man staying at Avantika C-Block area of Rohini wrote slogans supporting Pakistan. As per the preliminary investigation, the man was not mentally stable, and stayed in the flat alone.
In June 2024 also, a 30-year-old Kashmiri man, identified as Faheem Firdous Qureshi, was arrested for allegedly posting comments in support of Pakistan on X (formerly Twitter). The accused is an employee of Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC). According to the details, the police received an email on June 19 from BIEC with five attachments, showing the objectionable posts made by the accused on X. The suo-motu complaint stated that the comments were posted on June 12, as reported by Deccan Herald.
