A group of scuba divers descended into the waters off Dwarka's coast and unfurled the Triculour immersing themselves in patriotic spirit on the occasion of Republic Day.

As India is celebrating the 76th Republic Day today, a video has surfaced from Gujarat's Devbhumi Dwarka showing scuba divers unfurling the national flag underwater to commemorate the occasion.

According to news agency ANI, the scuba divers unfurled the nantional flag 30 metres deep into the sea. A group of scuba divers descended into the waters off Dwarka's coast and unfurled the Triculour immersing themselves in patriotic spirit.
Meanwhile, members of a swimming club also unfurled the national flag at sea in Porbandar, Gujarat.
India witnessed a grand celebration earlier today as the Republic Day parade was held at the Kartavya Path in New Delhi, showcasing the unique blend of culture, unity, military prowess.
Parade Commander and General Officer Commanding, Delhi Area, Lieutenant General Bhavnish Kumar led the parade as President Droupadi Murmu took the salute as the parade began. She also unfurled the national flag at the Kartavya Path, assisted by Indian Navy Officer Lieutenant Shubham Kumar and Lt Yogita Saini.

This was followed by the national anthem with a 21-gun salute given with 105 mm Light Field Guns, an indigenous weapon system, which was stationed along the iconic Kartavya Path. The gun salute was presented by the ceremonial battery of the 172 Field Regiment.
The Indian Army showcased an impressive display of missiles and advanced weapon systems, highlighting country's commitment to innovation and self-reliance in defence manufacturing.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute to the fallen soldiers at the National War Memorial, escorted by the Chief of Defence Staff and the three Service Chiefs. He was received by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh.
The Indian Air Force put up a spectacular show at the Republic Day celebrations with a dazzling air display which left the audience in awe. Tableaux from 16 states and union territories also rolled down the Kartavya Path, each with their unique themes and designs.
This year, Indnesian President Prabowo Subianto was invited as the chief guest for the Republic Day celebrations.
