Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a roadshow on Monday in Gujarat's Vadodara. People gathered on both sides of the road to welcome him and showered flower petals on PM Modi as he waved from his convoy during the roadshow.

During his two-day visit to Gujarat on May 26-27, PM Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation stones for various developmental projects worth Rs 82,000 crore in the state.

Family members of Indian Army officer Colonel Sofiya Qureshi also showered flower petals during PM Modi's roadshow.

Chants of "Bharat Mata ki Jai", "Modi-Modi", and "Vande Mataram" echoed through the streets, as people gathered to participate in a special 'Sindoor Samman Yatra', waving the national flag and showering flowers on PM Modi.

This is PM Modi's first visit to his home state after the recent military action targeting terror hubs in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) following the Pahalgam terror attack.

People also captured photos and videos on their phones to celebrate the moment. Several people, including international students, attend Prime Minister Modi's roadshow in Vadodara.

Later in the day, PM Modi will reach Dahod where he will inaugurate the Loco Manufacturing Shop-Rolling Stock Workshop and address a public gathering in Kharod. He will also lay the foundation for various government and railway projects worth Rs 24,000 crore.

He will also flag off two trains via video conferencing from Dahod. The first, the Sabarmati-Veraval Vande Bharat Express, will run six days a week, connecting Sabarmati with Veraval near the Somnath temple. The second train, the Valsad-Dahod Express, will operate daily and will cover a 346 km distance with 17 coaches.

PM Modi will also inaugurate a railway production unit in Dahod, which is built at a cost of over Rs 21,000 crore under the 'Make in India' initiative. He will visit the Dahod manufacturing plant to flag off an electric locomotive.

The PM will then travel to Bhuj where he will launch development projects worth over Rs 53,400 crore. These projects include the Kandla Port, solar energy, power transmission, and road infrastructure, among others.
