Another Trader Shot Dead In Patna Days After Industrialist Gopal Khemka's Murder
A grocery shop owner Vikram Kumar Jha was fatally shot by unidentified assailants in Patna's Ramkrishna Nagar on Friday evening.

A grocery shop owner was shot dead by an unidentified assailant in Patna's Ramkrishna Nagar, said the police on Saturday.
The incident took place on Friday evening and comes just days after the sensational murder of BJP leader and prominent businessman Gopal Khemka.
The deceased has been identified as Vikram Kumar Jha, who owned 'Trisha Mini Mart' in the city.
Superintendent of Police (Patna East), Parichay Kumar, said the police immediately reached the spot and took the victim to the nearest hospital. However, he was declared brought-dead by the doctors.
"The exact reason behind the murder is not known yet. An investigation is underway,” the police official told reporters, according to PTI.
The body has been sent for post-mortem examination, and a search is on for the culprit, Kumar said.
Earlier this month, top industrialist Gopal Khemka, owner of Magadh Hospital, was shot dead in the capital city of Bihar. Days later, a 50-year-old man involved in the sand mining business was shot dead outside his residence in Ranitalab area of Patna on July 10.
According to local media reports, Jha ran his shop beneath his rented house. On Friday at around 10:30 pm, three bike-borne assailants opened fire at him. Jha was rushed to Nalanda Medical College and Hospital, where he was declared dead.
Jha, who was originally from Darbhanga district, lived in Patna and had started Trisha Mini Mart a year ago, according to locals.
