Patna On High Alert After Civil Court Gets Bomb Threat

The Patna Civil Court has received a bomb threat.

Patna Bomb Threat: The Patna Civil Court has received a bomb threat. Police teams and a bomb squad have been alerted about the threat. Cops from Pirbahore police station are at the spot. Senior police officers have also arrived at the court. An investigation into the matter has begun.

All lawyers and visitors to the court are now being thoroughly checked. A dog squad has also been pressed into service.

The threat to the Patna court comes just three days after the Gauhati High Court in Assam's Guwahati received a similar warning. That threat was sent via email, claiming to have placed explosives to blow up the entire premises. The mail was sent by an organisation that called itself 'Madras Tigers'. Not much is known about it, though. The threat turned out to be a hoax.

Second Bomb Threat In Patna Since January

Earlier, miscreants threatened to blow up a luxury hotel in central Patna. The threat was received via email on January 1. A thorough check of the hotel, however, revealed that it was a hoax.

The email sender identified himself as 'Yakub Memon', police said.

Prior to that, the Mahabodhi Temple in Bodh Gaya received a bomb threat in December 2024 through a letter. The threat was allegedly issued by notorious gangster Prince Khan, who carries a bounty of Rs 30 lakh to his name. He also has a Red Corner notice against him as he has been absconding since 2021.
