Sharad Pawar's NCP Slams Fadnavis Over Murder
Nationalist Congress Party (NCP-SCP) leader Rohit Pawar took a sharp jab at the Maharashtra government following the murders. Rohit Pawar didn’t hold back as he accused the authorities of dodging critical questions and pointed to inconsistencies in their statements regarding similar incidents.
Drawing comparisons to a past case in Nagpur, he alleged that contradictory remarks from the police commissioner only fuelled concerns about transparency and accountability. "In the Nashik incident yesterday, two members of the ST community lost their lives, one of whom was a vice president in Ajit Pawar’s NCP. But instead of clear answers, we are being met with evasions. When a similar case took place in Nagpur, the police commissioner made conflicting statements, raising serious doubts," Pawar was quoted as saying by news agency ANI.
Rohit Pawar also targeted Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, responding to his recent remarks urging ministers to show restraint in their statements. "Instead of telling ministers to hold back their words, it would be far better if they step down," Pawar said in a scathing attack.
