Maharashtra: Drunk Truck Driver Rams Multiple Vehicles In Ambernath, People Throw Stones To Stop Him; Arrested
The driver's menace ended when the truck crashed into a divider in the Anandnagar MIDC area, following which he was finally caught and taken into police custody.

A trailer truck driver on Thursday rammed several vehicles, including a police car, in Maharashtra's Ambernath. The driver was reportedly drunk and was driving on the wrong side of the highway. The incident was captured on camera and a video showed the driver driving the truck on the wrong side of the Dombivali-Badlapur pipeline road.
As he rammed a vehicle, he was confronted by people, but quickly fled the spot when the crowd surrounded him. He engaged the reverse gear and attempted to escape, but ended up hitting a tree. While reversing the vehicle, the drunk driver even rammed an auto-rickshaw. However, he did not stop there, a report by the NDTV said.
When the people saw this, they started throwing stones at the driver's window to stop him, but he continued ram multiple vehicles in a bid to flee. Fortunately several people managed to escape, but multiple cars, autorickshaws, and two-wheelers were damaged.

Jaipur Cop Run Over After Stopping Truck In 'No Entry' Area
A head constable was run over by a truck after he tried to stop the vehicle from entering a 'no entry' zone in Dausa district in Rajasthan's Jaipur. He died on the spot.
Police is searching for accused truck driver who fled after parking the truck two kilometers away from the spot. The vehicle has been seized, PTI reported.
Additional Superintendent of Police Dinesh Agarwal stated that the entry of heavy vehicles such as trucks is prohibited from 8 am to 8 pm at the place where the cop was posted.
"Prasadi Lal Bairwa (54), the head constable, was trying to stop a truck that had entered the 'no entry area' at the intersection. But, the driver did not stop the truck and ran over the policeman, leading to his death on the spot," he said.
