Lancers Convent Spreads Christmas Cheer With Support To Delhi Old-Age Home

Delhi's Lancers Convent celebrated Christmas Eve by supporting an old-age home, delivering gift hampers and fostering intergenerational connections.

Lancers Convent, a CBSE-affiliated school in North West Delhi, marked Christmas Eve with a heartwarming celebration that highlighted the importance of community support and generosity. The school dedicated its efforts to aiding a nearby old-age home, embodying the true essence of compassion and giving.

Funds raised during the event, along with contributions from students, parents, and staff, will go toward improving the lives of elderly residents. Students personally delivered thoughtfully prepared gift hampers and spent time interacting with the residents, sharing songs, stories, and festive moments. This meaningful exchange fostered connections across generations, leaving a profound impact.

The celebration included mesmerizing performances and lively dances by the students, but the charity initiative stood out as the centrepiece of the event. Both parents and students commended the cause, with many committing to ongoing support for senior citizens in the community.

A representative from the students' council said, “This year’s festivities were dedicated to bringing joy to those who are often overlooked. Supporting the old-age home aligns perfectly with our aim to nurture empathy and social responsibility among our students.”

The two-day event became a testament to how celebrations can serve as a platform for kindness, using the holiday season to drive positive change and extend support to those in need.
