Kanpur Couple Films Reel While Romancing On Moving Bike, Police Launches Probe After Video Goes Viral

A probe was launched against a couple after a video of them romancing on a moving bike in Kanpur went viral on social media.

A couple from Kanpur landed in legal trouble after a video of them romancing on a moving bike surfaced on social media. The Kanpur Police on Saturday launched an investigation against the man and his female partner after the video went viral.

In the video, the man can be seen holding his female partner, who is sitting on his bike facing towards him. He then starts riding his bike with his female friend sitting on the fuel tank. Both of them were sitting on the moving bike without a helmet.

According to the Kanpur police, the incident took place near the Ganga Barrage area, which falls under Nawanganj Police Station's jurisdiction. The police are yet to ascertain the date and timing of the video.

Soon after the couple's video went viral, a probe was launched by the Kanpur Police. A social media user on X called out the video, to which the Kanpur Police responded, saying, "Sir, the matter was taken into cognisance and the concerned was informed."

According to a report by India Today, the man lives in Kanpur's Awas Vikas area and has previously been fined at least 10 times for violating traffic rules.

In a similar incident in April last year, a case was filed against a couple was arrested by the Delhi Police after a video of them performing the 'Titanic pose' on on a moving bike surfaced online. The couple was dressed as the Marvel character Spiderman. 

The couple was booked under Motor Vehicles Act as they were riding a bike without a helmet, a number plate, a mirror or a license, and were performing stunts on a moving bike in Spiderman's costume. The incident took place in southwest Delhi's Najafgarh.
