Jabalpur: Protestors Vandalise School Over Principal’s 'WhatsApp Status Against Lord Ram'
The protestors dispersed after the police assured protestors of action. The protesters demanded an apology from the school director, threatening a larger agitation if the police failed to take action.

A group of protestors ransacked a school in Jabalpur district of Madhya Pradesh accusing the principal of posing a WhatsApp status over remarks on Lord Ram.
A leader of the Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) said the group protested against the status that contained comments against Lord Ram, according to The Indian Express.
The videos of the incident went viral on Tuesday, showing protesters tearing posters, damaging property and shattering windows. One video showed protestors climbing the gate of the school and trying to break the board at the school entrance.
Though the police was deployed, but the protests continued, requiring additional reinforcements to restore law and order.
The protestors dispersed after two hours when the police assured the protestors of action. The protesters demanded an apology from the school director, threatening a larger agitation if the police failed to take action.
"We are yet to register an FIR. The technical investigation is underway to make sure the accused person did indeed upload the post and it was not some AI image. The school principal will be questioned soon. We have deployed additional force here to maintain the peace," a senior police officer said.
The Madhya Pradesh Police said the protestors arrived at the school after the post went viral.
"Activists arrived with mud-filled bags, which they threw inside the school premises despite the presence of police and school staff. The protesters also smeared black paint on the school walls to express their outrage," the police officer said.
The incident comes a day after a right-wing organisation stopped two buses in the Ranjhi police station area. The organisation alleged that the tribal people on the buses were being converted through inducement and fear.
The cops recorded the names and addresses of all the people on the buses. During this time, right-wing activists "assaulted" members of a minority community allegedly in the presence of officers and staff at the police station.
