Hindus Shower Flowers On Muslims Offering Namaz On Eid In Jaipur — Watch

Hindus, under the banner of the Hindu Muslim Unity Committee, showered flowers on the Muslims who came to Eidgah to celebrate Eid al-Fitr in Jaipur on Monday. Thousands of people gathered at the Eidgah on the Delhi Road to celebrate the festival.

Eid-ul-Fitr is celebrated across the world on different days and it is determined by the sighting of the crescent moon which is supposed to denote the start of the Shawwal month in the lunar Islamic calendar.

PM Narendra Modi and President Droupadi Murmu also extended their wishes to people on the occasion. PM Modi wished that the festival enhances the spirit of hope, harmony and kindness in society.

In a post on X, PM Modi said, "Greetings on Eid-ul-Fitr. May this festival enhance the spirit of hope, harmony and kindness in our society. May there be joy and success in all your endeavours. Eid Mubarak!"

This year the month of Ramzan was of 29 days, while last year it was of 30 days.

According to the Islamic calendar, there are 29 or 30 days in a month, depending on the sighting of the moon. During the month of Ramzan, people do not eat or drink anything from sunrise to sunset.
