Heavy Rain Expected In UP In Next 24 Hours, Thunderstorm Warning For 22 Districts

There is a possibility of heavy rainfall and lightning in the southern part of UP in the next 48 hours. This weather is expected to continue in the state until July 7. 

UP Weather Update: The monsoon has arrived in full swing in Uttar Pradesh. On Tuesday, heavy rainfall was witnessed in several districts, including Lucknow, Prayagraj, Meerut, and Varanasi, leading to a significant drop in temperature. According to the weather department, an orange alert has been issued for heavy to very heavy rainfall in many parts of the state today as well. There is a possibility of heavy rainfall and lightning in the southern part of the state in the next 48 hours. This weather is expected to continue in the state until July 7. 

The weather in UP has been active since June 29. Since then, rainfall has been occurring in various parts of the state. On Wednesday, there are chances of showers with thunder and lightning in many places in both divisions. A warning of very heavy rainfall has been issued in some places. Rain will continue intermittently until July 5. In such a situation, people may have to face waterlogging and heavy traffic jams in many places. 

Alert For Heavy To Very Heavy Rainfall In UP

Today in UP, there is a possibility of heavy rainfall in almost all places in Lalitpur, Banda, Chitrakoot, Jhansi, Mahoba, Hamirpur, Kaushambi, Prayagraj, Sant Ravidas Nagar, Mirzapur, Chandauli, and Sonbhadra. An orange alert for very heavy rainfall with thunder and lightning has been issued here. While a yellow alert for heavy rainfall has been issued in Jalaun, Saharanpur, Shamli, Muzaffarnagar, Bijnor, Moradabad, Rampur, Bareilly, Pilibhit, Lakhimpur Kheri, Bahraich, and Shravasti. 

Rain will occur in many places in Agra, Firozabad, Pratapgarh, and Jaunpur today. While rain will occur in many places in Mathura, Aligarh, Hathras, Kasganj, Etah, Mainpuri, Farrukhabad, Kannauj, Auraiya, Kanpur, Unnao, Raebareli, Amethi, Sultanpur, Azamgarh, Mau, Ballia, Kushinagar, Maharajganj, Siddharthnagar, and Balrampur. However, no alert has been issued in these districts. 

In addition, light showers may occur at one or two places in Baghpat, Meerut, Ghaziabad, Noida, Hapur, Amroha, Sambhal, Badaun, Shahjahanpur, Hardoi, Sitapur, Lucknow, Barabanki, Gonda, Ayodhya, Basti, Ambedkar Nagar, Sant Kabir Nagar, Gorakhpur, and Deoria today. There will be no significant change in the maximum and minimum temperatures of the state in the next four days.
