Nashik News: Gangster Harshad Patankar, who was released from jail in Maharashtra’s Nashik, was sent back behind bars after his celebration rally video went viral on social media. The gangster was jailed under the Maharashtra Prevention of Dangerous Activities (MPDA) of Slumlords, Bootleggers, Drug Offenders, and Dangerous Persons Act.

Who Is Harshad Patankar?
Patankar, the Gangster, has several cases of crime registered against him for offences pertaining to theft, burglary, misbehaviour, violence, attempt to murder, and possession of weapons.
Cases against him have been registered in several police stations across Nashik, including Sarkarwada Police Station, Panchavati Police Station, Indiranagar Police Station, and suburban police stations.
According to ABP Majha, Harshad Patankar was jailed under the Maharashtra Prevention of Slumlords, Bootleggers, Drug Offenders, and Dangerous Persons Dangerous Activities Act (MPDA). The action was taken against Patankar after Ankush Shinde took over as Nashik Commissioner in July.
‘Boss Is Back’
Following his release from jail, Patankar’s supporters organised a large rally to celebrate his return. During the procession, his supporters shouted the slogan 'Boss is back'. The videos of the procession were uploaded on social media, which made matters worse for the gangster.
The police took the cognisance of the matter and registered a case of violation against him.
The procession, which took place at 3:30 pm on Friday, included about 15 motorcycles and started from Bethelnagar, passing through Ambedkar Chowk, Sadhu Vaswani Road, and Sharanpur Road. Patankar, seen waving from the sunroof of a car, was joined by his friends and family who were raising celebratory slogans.
Patankar Back In Jail
The celebratory rally and subsequent police action have now resulted in him being sent back to jail, along with six of his associates: Gopal Nagorkar, Vedant Chalde, Shaun Michael, Joy Michael, Robinson Battise, Vaibhav Khandare, and Vikas Nepali.
