Flowers Showered On Devotees From Helicopter During Maghi Purnima Snan At Kumbh: WATCH

With the Maghi Purnima bath today, the month-long Kalpavas will end and the nearly 10 lakh kalpvasis will start leaving the Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj.

Flower petals were showered on devotees from helicopters as they continued to throng the Maha Kumbh Mela on Wednesday to take a dip at the Triveni Sangam and other ghats on the occasion of Maghi Purnima.

With the Maghi Purnima snan, the month-long Kalpavas will end today and nearly 10 lakh kalpvasis will start leaving the Maha Kumbh. The administration has requested all Kalpvasis to adhere to traffic rules and use only authorised parking spaces.

Over 73 lakh devotees, including 10 lakh Kalpvasis, have already taken the holy dip at the Triveni Sangam and other ghats since the snan began early morning. UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is taking regular updates on the sacred bath at the Sangam from the war room that has been set up at his official residence in Lucknow.

Earlier today, CM Adityanath greeted devotees on the holy bathing festival of Maghi Purnima through a post on X. "Heartiest greetings to all the revered saints, religious leaders, Kalpvasis and devotees who have come for the holy bath at the sacred Triveni in Maha Kumbh-2025, Prayagraj. May everyone's life be filled with happiness, prosperity and good fortune by the grace of Lord Shri Hari. May Maa Ganga, Maa Yamuna and Maa Saraswati fulfill everyone's wishes," he posted on X. 

Kumbh SSP Rajesh Dwivedi said that the movement of devotees is going on smoothly and that all the crowd pressure points are being taking care of.   "We have made elaborate arrangements during the previous 'snan' on Basant Panchami too. Our arrangements have been further augmented this time," he said.

He also said that more deployments have been done at all pressure points.
