With the Maghi Purnima bath today, the month-long Kalpavas will end and the nearly 10 lakh kalpvasis will start leaving the Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj.

Flower petals were showered on devotees from helicopters as they continued to throng the Maha Kumbh Mela on Wednesday to take a dip at the Triveni Sangam and other ghats on the occasion of Maghi Purnima.

With the Maghi Purnima snan, the month-long Kalpavas will end today and nearly 10 lakh kalpvasis will start leaving the Maha Kumbh. The administration has requested all Kalpvasis to adhere to traffic rules and use only authorised parking spaces.

Over 73 lakh devotees, including 10 lakh Kalpvasis, have already taken the holy dip at the Triveni Sangam and other ghats since the snan began early morning. UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is taking regular updates on the sacred bath at the Sangam from the war room that has been set up at his official residence in Lucknow.
