Strong Winds Likely To Bring Temperature Down In Delhi Before Intense Heatwave. Check Weather Forecast

Delhi weather forecast: Friday will see strong winds, with a maximum temperature of 33°C and a minimum temperature of 18°C.

Delhi Weather Today: Relief from the oppressive heat is expected in Delhi over the next two days, following two days of intense heat. During this period, a decrease in temperature is likely due to strong winds in Delhi. According to the meteorological department, the maximum temperature in Delhi on Thursday, March 27, was recorded at 36.4 degrees Celsius, which was 3.8 degrees above the average for this season.

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the minimum temperature in Delhi on Thursday was recorded at 19.5 degrees Celsius, which was 1.4 degrees above the average for this season. According to the IMD, the relative humidity at 5.30 PM on Thursday was 27%. Air quality was recorded in the poor category as the Air Quality Index (AQI) was 263 at 7 PM.

Earlier, on March 26, Delhi's temperature was 38.9 degrees Celsius. Prior to this, on March 31, 2022, the maximum temperature was 39.6 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature of 38.9 degrees Celsius was due to the intense sun. This was 7.4 degrees above normal. The minimum temperature was 17.7 degrees Celsius.

Heatwave To Return After Two Days

According to the IMD, strong winds will blow in Delhi on Friday. The maximum temperature is forecast to be 33 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature 18 degrees Celsius. A rise in temperature is expected after March 31.

A bulletin from the IMD stated that the skies over Delhi will remain clear and the national capital would see strong surface winds blowing at speeds of 15-25 kmph, "occasionally gusting to 35 kmph".

There is a possibility of the maximum temperature reaching 38 degrees Celsius by April 2.

Delhi AQI Remains Worrisome

The Air Quality Index (AQI) in Delhi is still a cause for concern. At 5.30 AM on Friday, the AQI was 238 (Poor), according to the Early Warning System. However, the winds on Friday and Saturday could blow some pollutants away from Delhi.

An AQI between 0 and 50 is considered good, 51 to 100 satisfactory, 101 to 200 moderate, 201 to 300 poor, 301 to 400 very poor and 401 to 500 severe.
