Two Men Arrested For Operating Fake Visa Racket In Delhi

The accused disclosed that they got in touch with an agent named Param, who promised to facilitate their journey to Poland via Dubai in exchange for a fee of Rs 10 lakhs.

Two individuals, including a businessman, were arrested for operating a fake visa racket in Delhi on Thursday. One of the suspects had been using his printing press business as a front for the illegal activity.

The investigation disclosed that they were involved in arranging counterfeit Poland visas. The arrested men were identified as Udaypal Singh (42) and Tajinder (51), residents of Vikaspuri and Rani Bagh.

Additional commissioner of police (IGI) Usha Rangnani discovered that two men, identified as Saurav Kumar (25) and Sumit Kumar (27), both residents of Baghpat, arrived at IGI Airport from Dubai as deportees on January 12. While checking their documents at the airport, fake Poland visas were found affixed to their passports. As a result, they got arrested after the FIR was registered.

"During interrogation, they disclosed that some of their friends went abroad for a better livelihood, prompting them to seek the same opportunity abroad for quick money," she said, as reported by TOI.

Fake Visa Operator Promised Journey To Poland via Dubai

The accused further disclosed that they got in touch with an agent named Param, who promised to facilitate their journey to Poland via Dubai in exchange for a fee of Rs 10 lakhs. They made payments of Rs 28,000 and Rs 1 lakh into a bank account provided by the agent, with the remaining amount paid in cash. The agent also assured them of securing jobs once they arrived in Poland.

The men stated that they handed their passports to Param, who arranged the counterfeit visas and travel tickets. However, upon reaching Dubai airport, their entry was denied due to the fake visas, and they were sent back to India.

Paramjeet Singh was eventually arrested in Delhi and revealed the identities of two accomplices, Udaypal and Tajinder, who were later apprehended in Hari Nagar and Rohini, respectively.

Udaypal had worked at a printing press in Narayana for several years, where he honed his printing skills. "He eventually started his own printing company but struggled financially. While working, he met agents who were involved in fraudulent visa schemes to send people abroad," the police said.

In search of quick and easy money, Udaypal began collaborating with these agents, producing counterfeit visas at his printing company as per their instructions. He confessed that both men had approached Paramjeet for assistance with arranging their travel abroad. Paramjeet took the agreed-upon sum and reached out to his associate, Tajinder, to secure the fake Poland visas.

Tajinder contacted Udaypal, who created the counterfeit visas. "Udaypal admitted to creating a total of 11 fake visas at his company," police added.
