3 Maharashtra Teens Plot Fake Abduction To Fly To South Korea To Meet BTS Members

The dream of meeting BTS in South Korea took an unexpected turn for three young girls from a village in Maharashtra, as they staged their own kidnapping in hopes of funding their journey. However, their plan unraveled when police intervened, swiftly bringing the dramatic episode to an end.
Three young girls staged their own kidnapping
The girls – one aged 11 and the other two aged 13 – are residents of Dharashiv district. On Friday, they devised a plan to reach Pune, hoping to find work and earn enough money to finance their dream trip to South Korea, according to an official from the Omerga police station. Their efforts were cut short when police intercepted them mid-journey. After receiving counseling, the girls were safely reunited with their families.
The incident came to light on December 27, when Dharashiv police received a call on their helpline reporting that three girls had been forcibly taken away in a school van from Omerga taluka.

Responding swiftly, the police traced the call to a woman traveling on a state transport bus bound for Pune. Officers tracked the bus as it passed through the Mohol area in Solapur district.
Teens wanted to travel to South Korea to meet BTS
In coordination with Mohol police and a local shopkeeper at the Mohol bus stand, officers intercepted the bus and located the three girls. They were escorted to the nearest police station, where their parents later joined them.
Upon questioning, the girls admitted they had staged the incident in hopes of reaching Pune, finding work, and saving enough to fulfill their dream of traveling to South Korea to meet BTS.
Following the revelation, police counseled the minors and their families, highlighting the risks involved in such actions.
