Delhi CM Rekha Gupta Performs Yamuna Arti Hours After Assuming Charge: Watch
Newly appointed Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta performed Yamuna Aarti at Vasudev Ghat with BJP members and ministers an hour after taking office.

Hours after assuming charge as the fourth Chief Minister of Delhi on Thursday, Rekha Gupta performed Yamuna Aarti at Vasudev Ghat. Along with her, BJP state president Virendraa Sachdeva and other members of the party, as well as ministers, also joined the Aarti.

Delhi cabinet ministers Parvesh Sahib Singh, Ashish Sood, Manjinder Singh Sirsa, Ravinder Indraj Singh, Kapil Mishra, and Pankaj Kumar Singh along with other BJP leaders were seen at Yamuna's Vasudev Ghat for the evening aarti.

After performing the arti she will join the first cabinet meeting, which is scheduled to be held at 7: 30 PM.
As per ANI, after swearing in-ceremony Delhi CM Rekha Gupta said, "We have a cabinet meeting today. We will continuously work towards the mission of Viksit Delhi, and we will fulfill all the promises that we have made... At 5 PM, we will go to Yamuna Ghat for aarti. The cabinet meeting will be held at 7 PM."
Reacting after Rekha Gupta became Delhi CM, West Bengal LoP Suvendu Adhikari said, "The people of our country do not call India as father, they call it mother. A trusted, loyal leader, who has been ideologically associated with the BJP from the first day has been given a huge responsibility in Delhi... That a woman has become the Chief Minister of our country's capital is a proud day for all Indians. I salute and express my gratitude to PM Narendra Modi."
