Caught On Cam: Mumbai Man Laughs As Pit Bull Mauls 11-Year-Old Boy Inside Auto Rickshaw; Booked

In Mumbai, an 11-year-old boy named Hamza was attacked by a pit bull unleashed by its owner, Mohammad Sohail Hasan, inside an auto-rickshaw. Hasan filmed the attack and laughed as the dog bit the boy.

In Mumbai’s eastern suburb, an 11-year-old boy was bitten by a pit bull after it was unleashed intentionally on the boy by the owner’s dog. In a video viral on social media, the child could be seen inside an auto-rickshaw with the dog sitting next to him.

The owner of the dog could be seen sitting in front of the seat of the rickshaw, smiling at the reaction of the child as he was frightened.

Seconds later, the body could be heard screaming as the dog leaps to bite his chin. The body, however, could manage to escape the vehicle even after the pibull grabs his clothes.

Instead of helping the child, the owner of the dog keeps on laughing as his pet runs after the boy. The incident reportedly happened in Mankhurd on Thursday.

"The dog bit me. Then, I ran away. He even grabbed my clothes," said the victim, Hamza, on the attack on him, as quoted by NDTV. The body also claimed that no one came forward to help him.

"They were just filming the attack," he said.

Hamza further added that he was scared after the attack.

According to NDTV, a report has been filed by the police against the dog's owner—identified as Mohammad Sohail Hasan (43)—based on the complaint by the father of the victim. The complaint mentions that Hasan let go of his dog on the child who was playing inside a parked autorickshaw.

The reports, according to the NDTV report, have been filed under sections 291 (negligent abandonment of animals), 125 (causing simple hurt), and 125(A) of the Indian Penal Code (BNS). The accused has also been issued a notice under section 35(3) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
