Truck Mows Down Duo Preparing For Army Recruitment Training In Bihar. Locals Protest Around Bodies
The protest brought traffic to a halt on the Sasaram Ara main road in Rohtas, Bihar, and caused a long queue of vehicles to build up until police intervened to disperse the crowd.
Two young men were killed by a speeding truck on Tuesday while they were preparing for army recruitment training near Sanjhauli on the Sasaram Ara main road in Rohtas, Bihar. A minor, aged 12, was injured in the accident and is said to be in critical condition.
According to IANS, the deceased have been identified as Deepak Kumar (23) and Satyendra Kumar (24). The injured boy has been identified as Prince Singh. The driver of the truck drove away from the scene.
In protest against the accident, local residents blocked the road as the bodies still lay at the site. The protest brought traffic to a halt, and caused a long queue of vehicles to build up until police intervened to disperse the crowd.

The Block Development Officer (BDO), Circle Officer (CO) and Station House Officer (SHO) of Sanjhauli also reached the spot to speak to the protesters. Once the protest ended, the bodies were taken for autopsy.
The police have opened an investigation into the accident, and are trying to locate the truck driver.
7 Killed In MP Truck-Auto Collision
At least 7 people died and 10 others were injured when a truck collided with an autorickshaw on the Sihora-Majhgawan road in Jabalpur on September 18, ANI reported. The deceased included 4 men and 3 women.
The injured — 6 men and 4 women — were rushed to a primary health centre at Sihora. Sihora MLA Santosh Singh Badkare also arrived at the spot along with police and administration officials.
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has announced ex-gratia financial assistance for the families of those who lost their lives and were injured in the accident. The families of the deceased were promised Rs 2 lakh each, with an additional Rs 15,000 from the road accident fund.
