Clash Erupts Between Congress Workers In Bihar's Ara 1 Injured: VIDEO

Congress leader Devendra Yadav claimed the individuals involved were outsiders, not party members, despite the incident occurring at the party office.

A clash broke out between Congress workers during a party meeting in Ara, Bhojpur district, on Thursday. One worker, Sunil Kumar Singh, sustained a head injury while some other Congress workers also sustained minor injuries in the incident.

Singh claimed he was assaulted "severely" when he tried to intervene between two rival groups of Congress workers at the party office. He said he was not involved in the fight as he underwent treatment at a hospital in Ara.

Congress secretary and co-incharge of the party's Bihar committee, Devendra Yadav, who was in the town to discuss the party's organisational matters, said he was told by the local party leaders that those who fought with one another were outsiders and not party workers.
