'If You Commit Suicide...': Deceased Air India Pilot's Boyfriend Grilled Over Deleted Chats Reveals Text

The Powai police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the suicide of Srishti Tuli, a 25-year-old pilot with Air India. Her boyfriend, Aditya Pandit, has been arrested in connection with the case. During police questioning, Pandit claimed he had sent Tuli a message stating, "If you commit suicide, I will also take my life."

Tuli was found dead on Monday, November 25, at her rented accommodation behind Marol Police Camp in Andheri (East) of Mumbai. Initial investigations suggest she was experiencing mental distress due to alleged harassment from Pandit.

An officer said that Pandit made this assertion when questioned about deleted chats. The police are currently attempting to recover the deleted messages. According to police sources, Tuli had made a video call to Pandit shortly before her death on November 25. Investigators suspect that a fight occurred between the couple on the day of her suicide, after which Pandit left for Delhi. An officer stated that Tuli had asked Pandit to stay with her for a few more days, but he refused and departed, leading her to threaten suicide.

Pandit told the police he ignored her threat. Later, Tuli called him again via video and indicated how she intended to hang herself.

Authorities have noted that Pandit deleted all chats with Tuli from his phone, raising suspicions about his intentions. When questioned about the deleted messages, he reiterated that he had told her he would also commit suicide if she did.

The police have sent Pandit's phone for forensic analysis to recover the deleted chats. Reports indicate there were approximately 10 to 11 phone calls between them, along with several missed calls on Tuli's phone. Pandit claims these calls were made while he was on his way back to prevent her from taking such drastic action.
