Car Driven By Minor Hits Pedestrians, Vehicles In Delhi; Drags Man, Grandson Under It - On Cam

A speeding car rammed into people other vehicles and pedestrians in the Adarsh Nagar area of Delhi in broad daylight on Monday. The accident caught on CCTV, surfaced on social media.

The CCTV footage shows that the driver rammed the speeding car into other bikes and pedestrians, leaving four people seriously injured.

As per NDTV report, a 56-year-old man carrying his seven-year-old grandson was struck by a speeding Hyundai Santro. The incident, which took place at 10:11 am. The car, driven by a 17-year-old, ran over the boy, injuring both the man, identified as Rajesh Kumar Kamra, and his grandson, Mannat.

Kamra tried to evade the vehicle, but within moments, he along with four others standing nearby the Santro was hit by a white scooter. The scooter rider fell and struggled to get up, while Kamra turned to see his grandson trapped under the car's rear bonnet. Bystanders rushed to rescue the child, who sustained injuries in the accident. The police have seized the car and taken the underage driver into custody.

Lashing out at the underage driver, one of the netizens reacted to the video that surfaced on X, "If a child is allowed to drive in his minor age, then strict action should be expected from the government. In such a situation, if caught driving, strict punishment and fines should be ensured so that such incidents can be prevented in future."

The next said, "How dangerous it is that people easily give keys to children and leave them to kill others."
