Andhra Pradesh: Four Killed As Minivan Rammed Into Parked Lorry In East Godavari District
A total of 13 people from the Eluru district were travelling in a Tata Magic vehicle to a temple in the Anakapalli district.
Four persons died and nine others were injured after a minivan they were travelling in rammed into a parked lorry in Andhra Pradesh's East Godavari district on Wednesday. The accident occurred on the Mallepally national highway.
A total of 13 people from the Eluru district were travelling in a Tata Magic vehicle to a temple in the Anakapalli district. After receiving the information, police raced to the scene and transported the injured to the Rajahmundry government hospital.
According to police, the vehicle lost control near Mallepalli village and rammed into a truck parked by the roadside. one person died on the spot, while three others died in the Rajahmundry government hospital. Two people are claimed to be critically hurt, while others with minor injuries are undergoing medical treatment, police said.
The deceased were identified as driver Konda, 38, Manga, 36, Mahesh, 28, and Prasad, 48. A case has been registered.

On Saturday, in a tragic road incident on the Vijayawada-Hyderabad national highway killed five individuals and critically injured 10 others. The tragedy happened late on Saturday, November 12, while the group was returning home in a tractor from the Ayyappa Padi Pooja in Suryapet town. The injured have been transported to government hospitals in Suryapet, Khammam, and Kodad.
According to sources, some Munagala Mandal residents attended the Ayyappa Swamy Padi Pooja on Saturday night at the Ayyappa Swamy temple on the banks of Sagar canal. About 30 people were heading home in a tractor after the pooja when the tragedy occurred on the Vijayawada-Hyderabad national route. The tractor they were travelling in took the incorrect turn and was hit by a lorry travelling from Hyderabad to Vijayawada. The driver allegedly took the incorrect route to avoid a kilometre-away u-turn.
